the How of Who

First, a few rules, a few do's, and very few dont's.
No more wills, and some disciplined won'ts
A few things, points to share
Finish this page, and you’ll get there.
You’ve done the work, have searched your soul
So get ready to be on a roll.

First, believe in your Plan--you’ve studied it well
The results will receive will give you a story to tell.
Ask all the questions, yet never second guess
You’re number one--be full of zest.
Only first place, nothing less will do
Stop now and then for air, and you’ll get through.
This life is yours for the making--it’ll be your prize
So climb up the ladder and realize.

Don’t worry if you shed a tear
Dig deep and get past the fear.
Run this race, turn your head and take a look back
See all the dust that used to be your track
Keep smiling, laughing, and occasionally sing
Humor is such a wonderful thing.
Keep focused, keep true, secretly admire it
When others pause to be envious of you.

It’s cause and effect, but remember to have fun
You are on your way once you have begun.
Reach up if you need when the struggles come
Take note of them all--where’s the root from?
Do all things with love, do most with great care.
You have already achieved once you start there.

Each step is the next, each day a surprise
Take it all in with your heart, ears, and eyes.
You are the boss, now give up control
This is one mission guided by your soul.
Go for the gold, don’t settle for bronze
You’re pretty cool, just like the Fonz.

This is your dream, make it come true
Don’t fall asleep as great things happen to you.
Take notes, write things down, doodle and draw.
You can do so many wonderful things--hold yourself in awe.
Take pictures, save stuff, continue to learn
What is it next that you are willing to earn?
Share who you are, share the emotions you feel
You make them happen and you make them real.

Take care of your heart--it’s a powerful tool
It knows when you are the king … or playing the fool.
As a king gets things done, a fool wastes his time
If you ever get stuck, please spend the dime.
Live each day not in the past or for tomorrow
Missing your life will cause great sorrow.

Practice, don’t preach--do what you say
Tell the whole truth, kneel and pray.
Do what you can to help right a frown
Treat the whole world as if it were a small town.
Never agree with something you don’t
Never say you will when you know you won’t.

Always go the extra mile and don’t settle for less
Master this one and you will past the test.
Let critics be critics--most times they are wrong
Do not be a victim--your commitment is too strong.
You are a 10 all of the time
Now get back to work--that is the end to this rhyme.
